This past January, the president signed an Executive Order to incentivize doing business with American manufacturing companies. We’re not full of hot air when we say this has been a long-standing strategy of our industry partner, Excel Dryer. About the Order
The President’s Made in America Order states, in part, “The United States Government should, whenever possible, procure goods, products, materials, and services from sources that will help American businesses compete in strategic industries and help America’s workers thrive.”
The Order establishes methods of accomplishing this goal by enhancing the 1933 Buy American and the 1982 Buy America Acts, thereby increasing the required content percentage that allows a product to be labeled “Made in the USA.” It’s an admirable goal, which will hopefully lead to further standardization when it comes to Made in the USA claims.
